Several things about your post are not true. 

First of all, it isn't "a lot of" talking heads.  It's one or two that expressed some concern about it, and I don't recall any of them saying they wouldn't draft him number one overall. 

Secondly, he didn't say he could walk away from football and be content.  That was a former high school coach that speculated about that.

What he did say was, he doesn't have a chip on his shoulder and he can't manufacture one.  And why would he?  Has anyone ever doubted him or told him he wasn't the best?  It would be ridiculous for him to have a chip on his shoulder.

What I got out of that interview is that Trevor is a well adjusted person who doesn't have to motivate himself by making up stuff like Michael Jordan did.
