Brackens in his prime was such a disrupter. He would put their OTs on skates. Marcus Stroud and Big Hen in the middle. Mike Pete calling out the assignments. And the tone setter Darius would hit Hill so hard across the middle that he would do a back flip.

Over on offense Jimmy Smith would go to work with Mark Brunell and Kennan working the sticks. Freddy T would cut back for 60 off Tony Boselli’s pancake. 

I think we would crush them with all of our greats in their prime. Jimmy was on another level.

It’s a different game today. Different eras. I mean back in the 90’s it was all about running the ball and stopping the run. It was all about getting your back 30 carries. 

Now, there is no doubt in my mind that Pat is more talented than Brunell, but Mark has some of the biggest throws in NFL history. I recently watched NFL’s best passes and Brunell was on there a few times. The pass up in Denver, the passes he threw Jimmy against the 2000 Ravens. 

And I will also say Mark was able to scramble and buy time and make plays with his feet just as good if not better than Pat. 

Today’s Chiefs don’t want any smoke with PRIME Smith, McCardell, Taylor, Boselli, Brunell, Stroud, Hen, Mathis, Beasley, Darius, Brackens, Walker, Hardy, Pete etc.
