If the rounds are irrelevant, lets just trade all of our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks for a bunch of 5th, 6th and 7th round picks. Think of how many future late round picks we could get for just our 1st rounder.. The more picks the better right? I mean, since the rounds are irrelevant and all.

There is one important word you missed.  After*.   AFTER the draft and AFTER you are drafted it doesn't really matter where you were drafted.  You put the best player on the field not the highest drafted.. Once again, out of all the teams fans you would think Jags fans know this more than any, and I think most do.  LF was a top 5 pick a few years ago, J Rob was undrafted and beat out LF because he is just a better player.  That's just 1 of to many examples from this franchise that shows draft position doesn’t tell how good a player is or will be and that goes for every franchise
