Yet, despite all of this, the rogue decision by Brayden Coombs to call a Fake Punt at Tennessee, which cost Coombs his job, is clearly the reason he didn't get another NFL Special Teams Coordinator job this winter.  Even with the family OSU connection factor, I am shocked that Urban Meyer is considering hiring Coombs with Bevell on the staff as OC.

Thanks as always D6, always appreciate your takes. It could be interesting to see if this is an issue and Meyer going to just keep them apart and that he can smooth any issues that may come up.

As much positive that Brayden Coombs could potentially provide the Jaguars, the risk / reward of Urban Meyer hiring him as Special Teams Coordinator doesn't seem favorable. Darrell Bevell is a professional.  But it would be putting him in a situation that I doubt he envisioned when accepting Meyer's offer to become the Jaguars OC.
