The Tokyo Olympics have gotten out in front of it by saying no athletes will be punished for demonstrations of disrespect or non-participation in anthems.

I'm not sure that's wise, as it could cause international incidents if athletes start doing things during other countries' anthems. There's all sorts of combos involving China, Iran, Israel, Middle-Eastern countries, the Koreas, etc. that could spark an incident.

But for the most part, I think it's mostly an American problem. Because our country has been the Greatest Country for so long, most of this wokism was released into the matrix to try to take down America. Other nations won't allow someone to simultaneous compete for their country and hate it at the same time.

The odd thing is, we're so strong that we can take it. Everybody still knows the facts. We're like the Dark Knight to the world's Gotham.

Which begs the question, why represent a country you so loathe? She obviously hates America, so if she wants to compete and she is good, I am sure another country would let her represent them.

I try to have empathy, to understand someone's perspective even if I disagree with it. But this is one where I cannot answer the rhetorical question. I truly don't get it.

I guess money or fame? There is no pro hammer throwing so you've pretty much got to compete for your country to try to make a go of it.
