Size is the first thing I like at when drafting a tackle. It's one of the reason I love Little, dude is massive and does everything else well too. Almost all of the great tackles in history had a size advantage and where massive dudes

I know Upper likes smaller tackles and smaller players

To clarify...I liked Wirfs. I did NOT like Becton because I thought he would be too big to work at LT (and possibly RT). NFL history is replete with guys who were too big and had no feet to function outside in pass protection (eg Aaron Gibson). At 370, Becton was bigger than all of them except Gibson. Go back and watch the Dallas-Buffalo Super Bowls. At 350 plus pounds, Bills RT House Ballard had a reputation for being a good RT. But he was absolutely eaten alive in pass protection by guys he outweighed by almost 100 lbs.

I think feet are of utmost importance when looking at tackles. While there are guys who get overpowered in pass protection, I would suggest more sacks occur because guys are beaten with quickness off the snap than power.

I don't necessarily like smaller tackles as much as I am averse to Ts that are too big. and have no feet. That was my concern with Becton.

It's not like Becton was just some tree sitting there lol. Dude had good feet and was good with his hands and would maul people. Feet is very important but when i want to look for my bookend tackle I want a guy that can pass block and maul people in the run game. If you get a smaller tackle he will be a liability in the run game but there have been plenty of tackles that can be a great pass protector and a beast in run blocking and most of the greats were.
