People have gotten really lazy.  Why get up off of your fat [BLEEP] to turn the lights on or adjust the thermostat in your home?  You can simply tell "Alexa" or some other "smart" device to do it.  Why drive your car when you can have a "self-driving" car?  Why bother to take a bit of time to vacuum your home when you can have a robot that does it for you and on top of that tell "Alexa" to start the robot?

I can understand the novelty of having such devices, but at this point people know what you are doing.  Knowledge is power.

How is this any worse than using a cell phone that passes on so much more information to both the cell phone manufacturer and the cell service provider.  They know where you are all the time, what apps you use, what you browse.  

Knowledge is money.
