Being 28th in attendance in perfect weather conditions is nothing to brag about.   Scalpers were selling out tickets for $10 outside the gate last year. Anyone can go to the Jag game pretty much for free whereas if you head to Pittsburgh, Philly, or NY, you need to spend $75 at minimum for a ticket and up to $150 if the team is doing good.  If you don't believe me, just keep an eye on stubhub.  Our tickets haven't had any market value over the past 2 years.

Nobody said ranking 28th in attendance is anything to brag about.  That is spectacularly besides the point. 

 

The Jaguars fans are always in a position to have to justify their existence to other fans.  In your own post, you talk about "perfect weather conditions" as a negative to the Jaguars attendance.  You say nothing of the fact the Steelers have been a dominant team over the last 40 years, and that even in off years, the Steelers generally present a respectable product on the field. The worst they've been in that stretch is what...5-11?!?   You say nothing of the 80 plus years of entrenchment in that market as a knock against them.  With all of that going for them, lame weather excuse or not, they SHOULD support that team more than a team without the 8 plus decades and 6 Super Bowl trophies.  But they don't consistently do it.  In fact, the last two years, Jacksonville outdrew the Steelers and had comparable attendance in the two previous years they didn't outdraw them.  Truth be told, Steelers fans are the most overrated, bandwagon jumping bunch of louts in the entire league.

 

I'd LOVE to see the Steelers attendance after 5 straight losing seasons, including a 2-14 and 4-12 stretch.
