Also, please factor in the Penguins sold out every game (42 games @ 18,000 attendence) and the Pirates averaged 25,000 in attendance (80 games)  .  THAT'S 2.7million additional tickets sold for both hockey and baseball.  --- there's only so much disposable income for sports

Well, we out draw teams like Oakland Raiders, Dolphins, Bucs, Bills and Bengals who have blackout and attendance issues with all their history and tradition behind them so what's their excuse? Hell, the Chargers have blackout issues and a stadium problem and for years they have fielded playoff teams over the last few years and have franchise players throughout their years as an organization.
