I was speaking more to performance only though, and I'd give the nod to Poz over Ryans of late. 
 

You're right, he's not that cheap, he signed a monster contract in 2010 while he was with the Texans. He was one of the best Middle Linebackers in football at that time, impactful against the run and pass, a sideline to sideline stud, Poz isn't that kind of Mike Backer.
