Agreed but having said all of this, if we were truly good then even a vanilla offense would do more than we have shown so far so Tlaws comment just after yours has much merit as well.

In a vacuum that doesn't factor talent vs scheme and percentage of starters missing in preseason -  maybe that's true. 

That vacuum doesn't exist, so we'll just have to wait and see how effective our actual starters are while running the full playbook. 

I've seen teams with a wealth of talent go 0-4 or 1-3 in the preseason plenty of times. It has taught me not to get too carried away with August evaluation.
