It's interesting to watch the evolution of thought. When Babbitt was shot, most conservatives thought it was unfortunate, but recognized she was in the wrong. Then the talking heads got involved. They pointed out the double standard from the left. Then they started using Babbitt's death to mock the left, then people started repeating it, and, before long, convinced themselves this was an unjust shooting.

Could it have been avoided by the officer? Probably. Could it have been avoided by Babbitt? Absolutely.

Imagine the outrage in this country if a 6'3" 260lb white man (fat-[BLEEP]) decided to shoot a tiny little black woman because she was crawling through a doorway.

Just. Imagine.
