Every single major college program(except A&M) passed on Johnny Manziel as a Quarterback when he was being recruited. Nobody wanted to touch him, and nobody offered him a scholarship at the QB position. The main concerns listed were that he was 'too short' for the college game, and he had gotten into some trouble in highschool. Texas, Oregon, and every other big school who even considered giving him a scholarship, wanted him only as an athlete/and eventual cornerback.

That sort of stuff does something to kid. And it's clear now that he's got a freaken chip the size of Texas on his shoulder. 

 

Listen, you can hate Johnny's game, his attitude, dislike him as a player, and even a person, but don't under any circumstances underestimate what the kid can do on a football field. Just ask jobless Mac Brown and a whole list of other top college programs who'd give their left [Bad Word Removed] to go back in time and give that short kid with a bad attitude a shot at QB.
