I dont see it either. He has no known attitude problems , is insanely coachable , already possess the tough to gain QB traits , has good size and was asked to do 10x what every other top QB had to do in terms of running an offense and making reads / going through progressions.

 

Johnny Jaguar your 2nd list is ridiclous. Mariota and Bridgewater should easily be well over Manziel. Mariota alone is a better runner than Manziel with a stronger arm and better size. Neither are great at reading defenses or adjusting plays so thats a wash.

 

In terms of reading defenses , making adjustments , moving the chains, finding the holes in zones, beating tight man coverage with touch throws , and controlling the game there isnt a QB in Bridgewaters class period. Only ones like that in the last 10 years in college are Rodgers,Luck,Wilson, Rivers,maybe Eli Manning and Matt Ryan. Every other guy picked in the first has had questions about their game.
