He'll be a MUCH better NFL WR than Reggie Williams was. Don't agree with the above comparison at all. Reggie couldn't jump over a credit card, and rarely won battles on jump balls. As a matter of fact on the occurrences where Reggie was called to do this, I often remember him being clumsy and falling down many times. Evans doesn't do this.

Evans very rarely beats a DB on his initial cut (his slants look like drag routes lol) and runs sloppy  with a weird stride. Good hands but is easily manhandled by physical CBs before,during and after the catch.

 

I know a lot of Evans' catches were of this variety, and for a team like ours that hasn't had that WR that has shown they can win those type of battles, I wouldn't be scoffing at that ability....

 

That said, I have seen evidence of Evans also outrunning the DB for deep balls....on one of the Manziel highlights, there was at least one of this type where Manziel from his own EZ throws a bomb to Evans who simply beat the coverage caught the bomb and could not be caught from behind as he sprinted in for the long TD.
