In Monterey one of the restaurants did a no kid policy. A couple people went to Social Media to complain. Obviously this just let all the people who want to eat at a restaurant without kids, a place to go.
Same thing happened, they ran out of food. People are tired of things that don't directly line up with what they want to see/do. Luckily with the huge net of the internet, more niche business will be allowed to thrive in the future.
