To me, this is nearly a nothing burger. I think the intelligence of the man is the only thing you can take away from this. Who on God's green earth uses email, let alone a COMPANY email, to discuss matters like this in such vulgarity? The internet is forever, Gruden is a dumb [BLEEP] for that alone. While some things he said were pretty insensitive, I'm not sure I'd crucify him over some poor takes. I think he's actually making some valid points(Goodell sucks, disliking Smith, identity politics over merit), only he's presenting his views in the absolute worst way possible you can verbally. So resigning was the right move, he messed up and now its pay the piper time.

Side note: I'd love to see the rest of the league turn over their criminal history/email address and phone credentials for review, I can guarantee there are more slurs/comments among other players/staff that are far worse than what Gruden said. We have a lot of wife/child abusers in the NFL too who somehow escape the law and the NFL does very little in terms of punishment. Only when it goes massively viral do they respond.
