compare the two:

Gabbert (3 yrs) - 155.6 avg y/gm
Bort (1st 3 yrs) - 244.4 avg y/gm

There were weeks where Gabby struggled to break 100 yards passing for the day. Bort was usually good for 100 yards in the fourth Q alone, once garbage time was in full swing. You either are too young to have witnessed the agony of the Gabbert years or you and I have a vastly different definition of horrendous.

Yup those Gabbert years of QB play were dreadful. 

Through out 26 games (I didn't include 2 games because one of them he only attempted 6 passes, which was when he took over for Luke. The other he got hurt and only attempted 2 passes) over his 3 years here, he only threw for 300 yards or more once. 

He only threw for 200 yards or more 7 times.

100 yards or less 4 times.
