We already have speed with Jamal Agnew, Tyron Johnson, etc.

I want someone who can get open because that is what we are severely lacking - even with Marvin Jones, who I like, but I think he falls more in line with being an average player more than anything. And unfortunately, we won't find that until this offseason with potential FA's like Godwin and others being in the market.

DeSean, while certainly fast, absolutely benefited from Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, and even Van Jefferson absolutely carving out the intermediate routes by getting OPEN consistently.

Agnew and Johnson aren't nearly as polished or as accomplished as Jackson.  It's insulting to Jackson to put them in his category, even at this late stage in his career.

I don't assert Jackson is the ideal #1 WR for a young QB to grow with.

But in the short term, he should provide some help.

Of course, this means the team won't sign him.
