You would have a good point if he wasn't looking to throw the football. When he leaves the pocket it isn't to run for yards like a "running QB", but instead he is keeping his eyes downfield to locate the best option to throw too.....



He basically is a mini me version of Big Ben


And before you go crazy, I realize Big Ben has always been a pocket passer, but a big knock on him even in the pros is that he holds onto the football to long, Johnny's version of this is running around behind the LOS, and for both players a majority of the it works for them.
