Of course they can't fix everything in one year and some draft picks take development time, but what we are seeing is abject failure.

1. Declares a draft class a bust in just over half a season
2. Dave Caldwell had much more draft capital over the years but some of those same posters defend him.
3.This roster was void of talent on both sides of the ball. We also have a lot of injuries. This project was going to take time regardless.

Ok, w/r/t #1, using your ideal of Jimmy Johnson's first year, how many of his rookies were on the field that first year gaining experience and showing their potential? Did he choose to keep them all on the bench? We have seen next to nothing out of Little and Cisco in particular, and they are not able to play the injured card like Etienne, Tufele, or even Jordan Smith.

I don't think anyone has declared this darft a bust. An incomplete, maybe, but expectations at this stage of the year are that the rooks should have enough time to get their butts on the field, otherwise there is some organizational problem, whether that be inability to develop players, a refusal to let rookies on the field, or craptastic scouting before the picks were even made.
