I watched it.  It's pretty interesting.  Obviously, enough Democrats/liberals are hypocrites to keep some of their social policies from becoming law, even in states where they are in complete control.  For example, if a state is split 55-45% Democrats vs Republicans, only 10% of the Democrats need to switch sides on any particular issue in order to stop certain Democratic policies from happening. 

I think that was the thrust of the video- Democratic hypocrisy in pure blue states.

And, in spite of the fact that this was essentially two liberals talking to each other, kudos to the New York Times for producing something of quality, unlike Fox News, which produces nothing but dreck.
