Blaine Gabbert vs Trevor Lawrence Rookie Seasons
|
Lawrence is probably the most mobile QB we’ve ever had. He can bolt out of a collapsing pocket and extend a play, and does so frequently. Unfortunately, he often doesn’t have any targets available, which leads to his next most admirable trait of getting rid of the ball when all hope is lost. How many times did we see Gabbert and Minshew go down with the ball like weak prey to a pack of predators rather than chuck it?
Lawrence’s ability to minimize the damage shows he’s mentally tough and fully aware of this team’s dire talent situation. I’m sure he completely expected disappointment and hopelessness in his first season with a team which picked first in the draft. We show less advertisements to registered users.
