Jax is a great town, but different from every other city I have lived in. I tell people it's a city that thinks it's a beach town. It is very laid back, but has more to offer than it gets credit for. Pick up a Folio Weekly when you get to town and it will help with the learning curve. If you are going to UNF, you will likely spend a fair amount of time at the St. Johns Town Center or the beach bar scene. Don't sleep on Riverside though. Lots of cool stuff there like Kickbacks, the Riverside Arts Market and some microbreweries. Jax is massive in size. Getting your bearings early will pay dividends.
