I agree with Marty, but Norman is also right, that just because today Democrats decided court packing was a bad idea, doesn't mean Republicans won't try it if they ever get the chance. It's like nuclear war. Just because you decide not to play, doesn't mean your opponent will also decide not to play.

I would be in favor of amending the Constitution to limit the term in office for Supreme Court judges, so each President gets a fixed number of appointments to the bench.
I'd also be in favor of amending the Constitution to say that the lower court judges should be the ones nominating new judges to be confirmed by the Senate, and give the President no role in that, which is the way it is in some states already.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
