The most current data source is 7 years old.  Finding more relevant statistics shouldn't be an overly challenging task.  Here's a useful tip to help you.  Any research article that doesn't first and foremost define the topic of study is useless.

OK, five-year-old.  Conclusions are drawn from data.  For data to be relevant, you most first understand the research topic.  Define "homeless".
