I here you but I can’t help but think part of the reason for the “set backs” was the fact he was looking at hill as the QB when Winston went down and suddenly felt a set back coming on. 

I could be wrong and I agree it would suck to pay a guy 20 mil to ride the bench, but when he was good he was a top 5 receiver(really top 3) and he is only 28 so there is a lot left in the tank if he gets back to 100%.

Thomas was a fine receiver when healthy, but Brees made him great.  Hard to imagine him still having much left in the tank, let alone enough to sacrifice draft picks AND pay him upwards of $20 mil.
