Its just my logic that having a "caretaker/bridge/stop-gap" QB is absolutely a waste of time if he isn't your future. Draft two QBs this draft. I don't like any of the QBs at #3 overall BUT they look really damn good at the bottom as far as value/potential ratio goes. Murray, Goroppolo (sp), L. Thomas, etc. have a high range of possiblities. They could be trash but could also be gold. I'd be ok with taking a shot in the dark with two of them because it means we are moving forward in trying to find "the guy".
If you want a bridge QB, Get someone at the veteran minimum we can release mid-season once the rookie gets his feet under him. Then use the extra spot to put a practice squad player on the 53. |
