Apparently not. So all this nonsense comes down to Shad's ego. He's not going to let anyone tell him what to do, whether it's HC candidates, players, his fanbase, others around the NFL. 

How frustrating it is to receive confirmation that the Jaguars are owned by a petulant, stubborn, spoiled child.

It would hint to me that Byron is decisive, assertive, and would bring me to want to discuss this in great detail with him personally.
It might not force my hand from the get-go, but if he has a convincing argument why Baalke is the deal breaker I am going to listen, consider, and then act accordingly.

What gets me is that several candidates have already said the same. At some point you have to wonder if they are all being selfish, or are they all onto something you are not?
Exactly, there could not be a more obvious common denominator here. You don’t have to be in the front office or in the media with sources to see this.
