He'll have competition with Stanzi and Scott, and there's little doubt the team is going to draft a QB, so there will be a crowd to contend with.  But, Gabbert will have every opportunity to earn a roster spot. 

Really?  Gabbert always looks good in practice and camp.  His performance there really would not matter.  The team knows Gabbert is not in their plans.  Especially if and when we draft a QB.  It has been said the only reason Gabbert had not been released already was because the team wanted to have at least a little leverage in trying to resign Henne.

 

I highly doubt they keep Gabbert around just for a "camp arm".
