First, no one is guaranteeing a Super Bowl.  

Second, your facts are mixed up.  Six different coaches have been to the Super Bowl with two different teams.  I don't have time at the moment to fact check your other statistic.

Third, if you don't think winning 75% of Super Bowls over the last two decades is better than winning 25% of Super Bowls, I'm not sure you are good at statistics.

Only 2 SB WINNING HCs ever made it back to another SB with a NEW TEAM as HC.

Only 7 out of 15 of those SB winning coaches had winning seasons with their new teams as a HC.

I didn't say anything about coaches making it to another SB, I said WINNING SUPER BOWL HCs.

As far as your "Third" comment. What are you even talking about? Are you trying to bring Belichick into this conversation or something? He has nothing to do with this conversation if that's the case.

Ok, fine.  You are clearly cherry picking your statistics.  The points is that there are several examples of head coaches taking teams to the Super Bowl and then doing so again with another team.  You are conveniently removing Super Bowl losing coaches from your statistic because it hurts the narrative that you want to create.  To argue that Pederson would be a better candidate if he lost the Super Bowl instead of winning the Super Bowl feels like a silly misuse of statistics to me.

In regards to the "third argument", it is PRECISELY the point.  The message that you responded to made ZERO mention of the fact that Pederson had won a Super Bowl.  The person didn't understand why people felt it was less risky to take a retread coach given that they had failed.  Looking at the success of retreads is exactly on point.  While Belichick, as the GOAT, is an excellent example of why you might want to hire a retread, it doesn't stop with him.  I'll put him aside.  Let's go back in reverse chronological order and look at the other coaches who have won the last several Super Bowls:

• Bruce Arians - Retread
  
• Andy Reid - Retread
  
• Doug Pederson - Not a retread.  However, this should make us feel better about hiring him, not worse.
  
• Gary Kubiak - Retread
  
• Pete Carroll - Retread
  
• John Harbaugh - Not a retread, but we are having to go all the way back to 2013 to find a first time head coach who won the Super Bowl that wasn't named "Doug Pederson".
  
• Tom Coughlin - Retread
  
• Mike McCarthy - Retread
  

To be fair, this year's Super Bowl will be won by a first time head coach.  I'm not saying retreads are 100% good and first time head coaches are 100% bad, but there are definitely legitimate reasons why many may prefer hiring a retread.
