That's why I wouldn't trade for him. He's not a #1 and he disappears even with guys like Lamb, Elliot and Schultz around him as his supporting cast. I liked him coming out of Alabama. Thought he was a great route runner. However, he wasn't as good as Julio Jones was and he wasn't nearly as much as a deep threat as people thought he would be. Even during his last year where he went off for 1700+ yards in receiving. It was a lot of high volume stuff. He wasn't taking the tops off of defenses.

My problem with that writer's logic is that, they're willing to fork over a pair of 3rd RD picks for essentially a guy that's already proven himself in the NFL that he cannot be a #1. He barely hits the 1,000 yard mark in a pass happy era of football. And that's on a team for the last three years that's greatly benefited from a stout running game that should have been drawing coverage up to the box and away from him. Just seems like he's not living up to his potential.

I don't see how that would magically change here in Jacksonville for him. Especially if Chark is departing he's left trying to carry Shenault, Jones & Agnew. With the willingness to trade a pair of 3rd RD picks for him? Why not offer that up to another team in RD1 that needs more picks overall? You could then look at younger, potentially, more promising prospects at WR. Guys like Jameson Williams, John Metchie III & Jahan Dotson are worth a shot. Especially Williams if his ACL is healing along nicely by the time the combine rolls around. Any one of those three have the ability to break a game open.
In the future, don’t compare anyone to Julio. You will always be disappointed.

I would easily trade a 3rd for Cooper. It’s not his fault the Cowboys are loaded with offensive talent and Dak spreads the love.
