I've lived through three Super Bowl appearances for the Eagles (XV when I was 11), then XXXIX and finally LII. I never want to NOT get to the Super Bowl, but getting there and losing is far worse (or was for me), than not getting there. By 'not getting there', I'm talking about getting to the conference championship game and losing. The Eagles have been to three Super Bowls in my lifetime, but lost the NFCCG four times (three of them in a row). 

Losing the Conference Championship sucks, but losing the Super Bowl is 50 times worse. The build up for two weeks is really fun, though.
