Even if he's trying to be a contrarian, at least have some basis by which to support your opinion that goes against the dominant paradigm.

This is my 20th year on this board in its various iterations.  I have been the only one advancing a particular point of view on several occasions.  There have been times the entire board started off against me.

But despite those things, I've never been accused of being a troll.  Long winded?  Sure.  Arrogant?  Yeah.  A smart [BLEEP]?  Sure.  But never a troll.

The one thing that separates me from the Sioux guy on the main board is the ability/willingness to give supporting arguments for my assertions.  Similarly, Acho is certainly knowledgeable enough and intelligent enough to defend a contrarian position on football related matters...certainly more than I.

But he really didn't bother to do so.  He came across as a troll or, in my buddy's case, a complete homer.
