Public schools. I'm not sure of the outcome. It was something they were talking about at length and my husband wanted to go home since his shift was over so he didn't hear the rest of the conversation. I think the girls didn't want the parents to say anything because even though they're not on the teams anymore they still see the girls who harassed them around campus and in classes and don't want anymore confrontation. It's a bad situation. 

I was bullied in school for a variety of reasons. I was tall for a girl, I was skinny and I was shy. It sucked to be made fun of for no reason other than I was "different". That was in the 80s when people in general were still civil to each other and those who weren't civil were considered pariahs. I can't imagine how it is now when common courtesy seems to be the exception, not the rule.
