Using the franchise tag will just get us right back in the same situation next year. The difference is if we are much better we won't have a high pick to get a LT next season.

But if we are much better then in that scenario cam probably plays very well and deserves a long term extension.

You can’t fix every whole in one season, cams serviceable tag him fill other holes and go after a left tackle next year, it’s very likely we’ll be picking in the top 12 picks
