This is the right answer. Tagging him lets you kick the can on filling a hole for another year while you have a serviceable stop gap. Then you can use the asset you were going to use to fill that hole (the friggin 1st overall pick in the entire draft) to fill a hole that you don't have a serviceable in house option for.

PFF had a panel of their guys on with Brugler during the combine and they went through their pre draft rankings of the last three OT classes. They had Neal and Icky behind all of Sewell, Slater, Wirfs, Wills, Becton, and Thomas.
