It is a rule.  Not arguing with that.  It's a stupid and hypocritical rule when the league is in bed with gambling interests.  If they want to enforce gambling rules against employees, the owners have to forego their gambling industry profits.  Nothing I said in the first paragraph is untrue.

I agree with this. They had Steve Mariucci in a commercial not too long ago talking about 'stick to the gameplan' for Gambling awareness.

Rules are rules. However, how does it work when a player walks away from his team for a significant amount of time citing mental health issues?

If he gets a year I want to see Ross stripped of ownership in Miami if its true he wanted his team to lose on purpose.
