You're just gonna ignore his time with the Vikings and Lions?

No one is arguing he got to 2 SB's, but they had the No. 1 defense both years and No 1 and 4th TO ratio both years. Plus the Packers completely falling overselves to lose that second NFC title game.

You cannot credit him with that peak and ignore the rest of his resume.

Not ignoring anything. With the Vikes, he helped them get within a game of the Super Bowl, but the Saints resorted to being headhunters and the whole Bountygate fiasco. Favre throwing across his body for the game-sealing interception didn't help matters.
HOF QB Favre and SB champion Matt Stafford have both openly credited Bevell and his play design.
And of course the Hawks had a great defense,but with fewer dollars of the salary cap going his way, Bev consistently put together offenses in Seattle that finished in the top 10 DVOA, allwhile fostering the development of Russell Wilson. You don't get to two straight Super Bowls without a highly functioning offense.
