Chiefs trade Tyrek Hill to the Dolphins

Had they not traded for Hill, chances are slim they would have gotten a WR as good as Hill.  The only future picks they have mortgaged are the 4th and 6th round picks next year.  Those are not likely to be huge losses.

Every player is one wrong leg injury from being done.

They're giving up those picks AND paying him $30m per.  Of course every player is one leg injury away.  But when you're a speed WR, THAT's your thing.  NO WAY.  Does anyone beside the Fins really think they're competing in the AFC?  They still won't get past the Bills and probably the Pats, either.

So then if I understand you correctly:

1.  Teams, even those with three years worth of premium picks, should never trade any of them?

2.  Teams should never pay top dollar for a top player?

3.  Teams should never draft/acquire fast players?
