The afcs is the no one else wants them division. Indy didn't fit in the AFC east, either. They really belong in the central and the Ravens should be in the east with the dolphins in the south, but the NFL realignment wasn't about fixing bad regional distribution, it was about evening out the division sizes by moving the unwanted teams to their own division.

It was like they set up the divisions, and then they said, "Okay, who's left over? Make that the AFC South."
