Trading with Atlanta to get their picks in rounds 1, 2 (2 picks) and 3 would be a great. I assume that's what the Jaguars would receive or something very similar. The difficult part would be whom to take with the 8th pick. It would present a real value vs. need dilemma. No doubt, Hamilton and Sauce Gardner would be the best value. With the addition of Darious Williams, the Jaguars have 3 solid options at corner/nickel. Gardner may turn out better than any of them, but can they afford to keep a high-priced player on the bench? The safety position is not as crowded and Hamilton's versatility would enable him to be lined up in a variety of spots. His recent 40 time will likely cause him to drop some, but he is undoubtably a great prospect. The 3rd option would be to grabtheir top choice at wide receiver- with Wilson, London and Williams as possibilities.

No matter which choice they would make, it would be criticized by many. The best option to me would be to take either Gardner or Hamilton at 8 and then use some of the extra picks to move back up into round 1 (20-25 depending on who is available) to take a wide receiver like Williams, Burks or Olave. If it looks like Dotson or Burks will fall out of round 1, I don't trade back up and could then look forward to having 6 picks on day 2. In that scenario, they could get very good players at wide receiver, tight end, Edge, linebacker and offensive line- all positions of need- and still have one more pick as gravy. I'd jump at that trade, especially since I believe Dotson is going to be a very good pro.

If we really got that offer, it would be incredible.  I would be inclined to use the 1st rounder on getting the best wide receiver and resolve our biggest need.  The Jaguars would then still have 3 second rounder, 3 third rounders and the top pick in the fourth round.  That's seven picks.  We can use four on offense -- Right Tackle, Center, Guard and Tight End and three on defense -- Edge, Inside Linebacker and Safety.  We would still have 7 picks in round five through seven that can either be used on depth or more likely as part of trade up deals.  We could really solve all of this team's needs and would be very well positioned for future success.
