A few things stuck out to me.

1. There was nothing that struck me as particularly alarming about anything they said.

2. They have removed 20-30 players from the draft board because of character concerns. It shouldn't surprise me, but when I first heard it, that struck me as a big number.

3. Pederson was saying there isn't much in terms of depth at WR ( a good top heavy group) and IOL. To me, that may mean that if a guy like Zion Johnson or a WR does not fall to 33, they trade back, assuming they are looking for those positions at 33.

Kind of weird. Normally, you hear a lot about certain players getting into trouble off the field, well before the draft. I haven't heard much of anything this year about anyone. The only thing I've really heard was about Devonte Wyatt, regarding a couple of domestic violence issues. To have 20-30 removed from the list for character concerns is surprising. Why haven't we been hearing any stories about these red flags?

I agree that this year's WR class is very top heavy, which is why I have been so adamant about wanting to trade up into the mid 1st round to get one of the top 5 guys. After those 5 are gone, there really isn't much difference between the WR's you get at #33 and the ones you get in rounds 4-5. I disagree about IOL. This is a very deep class of OG's and Centers. Probably the deepest group of Centers I've ever seen. I really think we might go IOL at #33, depending on who falls.

Only challenge with that is the fact that there's a gauntlet of teams in RD1 with multiple picks that are in the market for a WR and it just so happens to align perfectly with where the value would be anyway at the position. So, tough market right now to be in.

I am convinced that unless they trade up on the opening night they won't bother looking at a WR until RD3. If there's a guy that maybe slips a bit or they panic that a team might take Metchie at the bottom of RD2 they might very well package up those 3RD round picks to get ahead of them to get him.

I am assuming it's Hutchinson right off the bat, probably another defensive player that nobody suspects at 33 or a damn good RT or G there that offers great value overall and they either trade up that same night for Metchie or hang back in the 3RD round come Saturday.

I also really like Calvin Austin III out of Memphis on my end. Had him as a target we trade up for in my final mock draft. There's links to him and the Chiefs now as a Tyreek Hill replacement because of his size/speed ratio.

Agreed and I really don't have a problem with that strategy.
