Worst possible outcome appears to be coming true. Baalke has final say, and he's deadset on playing smartest man in the room, bypassing his new head coach's preference for O-line, which will put them at odds. 

He wants Walker, who's a pure project with measurables not production. He'll be a good run stopping end like Renaldo Wynn, but never post double digit sacks. I hope this gets Baalke fired. He's not a consensus builder.

I also think he'll pick defense again at #33, with a linebacker, which is like the running back of defense. Pederson will be fuming.

Have we reached the point where if we don't draft exactly the players you want, you're going to have a complete meltdown?

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that.  After all, if everyone had humility and self-awareness, it would be a very boring message board.

I'm going to have a meltdown over Walker. The only one who values him in the top 3 is Baalke. At this point I'd be OK with a handful of players at #1, including both O-tackles, Hutch, or Sauce. I'd also love a trade down. Picking Walker is like Alualu all over again. No one else values him there. It's smartest man in the room BS.
