Isn't one of Jameson's knocks that he has struggled a bit with press?

Also, the idea of getting a star WR in the draft is getting great production on a rookie deal. If this off season has shown anything, most WRs who produce in the first 2-3 are going to expect an extention. So, you are already losing the first year due to his recovery and in ability to get in a rapport with Lawrence.

I understand it if he were healthy. I just don't think it is as strategically sound as you make it seem with him coming back from injury.

I think around the NFL he would be considered about average with many FO/O line coaches thinking they could help him improve to be better than that. So I don't think the reported contrast is that outlandish.

I never saw Williams struggling against press coverage. I saw many Alabama games last season just to watch him play and he was a dominant WR.

We're not a good team. I wouldn't draft him with the idea he would "blow the doors off" opposing CB's in his rookie year. Most WR's take time coming into the NFL, even when they are healthy. Picking him would be more for the 2023 season. What would that hurt? It's not like we're gonna be contending for anything in 2022 anyway. It's a marathon, not a sprint and I can see Williams being one of the most dominant WR's in the NFL in late 2023 and into the foreseeable future. We don't need players to come in and be immediate stars. We need really good players who can set us up for the future and Williams can do that.
