But it’s weird to think Kirby Smart had a guy who is a first overall NFL draft talented pass rusher and basically used him to just hang out on the line and clog up lanes. Or is our vision for him to do the same? Hang out on the line and clog up plays but not really disrupt the QB? I can’t imagine that is true as you don’t take a guy first overall to do that.

For all the potential flaws with Hutchinson that he has peaked as a player, the guy has the size and athleticism. He has the production. And he seems to check off on the personality side as well. Even if his floor was just a solid player that averaged 6 sacks a season for the next 7 or 8 years, I still think we’d take that. Even a guy like Icky. He seems to check off all the boxes.

Either way, none of these guys would be first overall in a normal year. So the expectation for them will be unrealistic based on their overall skillsets.
