They aren't interested in replacing Marvin Jones yet. He was our best receiver. Shenault had a sophomore slump and is too talented to be given up on yet. Then you have Agnew and Treadwell who both developed nicely as the season progressed.

They obvious like Zay and expect more out of him than just solid. Don't confuse your opinion of a guy with that of the front office. They didn't give him that kind of contract with the intention of turning around and drafting his replacement.

They made their investment in the WRs in FA and obviously feel settled at that position going into the season.

If some of the receivers struggle this season, then next draft a WR would be a realistic option in the top part of the draft, but it makes no sense this year.

People seem to think drafting a WR in the top part of the draft is an automatic improvement, but that is just a fallacy. There will be multiple receivers taken early this year that won't pan out.

I think the initial idea was to get a WR in round 2, 3 or 4.  I don't know that anyone expected the insane run we had (most all time in the first 2 rounds IIRC) The idea was that this was a deep class and you could potentially get a good starter late (Metchi/Pickens/Sky Moore) whoever, but they all just happened to go fast and furious
