I asked this earlier and no one could tell me, but when have you actually seen Taylor maul? He has traits that suggest he should be able to, but he plays soft and does not have a mauler mindset. He blocks just as long as he needs to and never finishes a guy off after he has won the rep.

Playing tackle Vs. guard are two completely different things. For starters, he's playing on his feet and more upright. This requires him to have more finesse than actual power involved. I think he's got potential to be a lot better inside at guard. He has the right size for it. This is essentially his last shot at show casing any real talent that he has. Whether it nets him a nice contract here or elsewhere squarely falls back on him. 

As far as mauling goes, depends on your definition of what that is. Is he the guy that picks you up and escorts you over into the nearest gatorade jug on the sideline? No. Can he get his hands inside and drive you back? Sure. He's been flagged a [BLEEP] ton for it at RT, LOL. I think he'll get away with more playing with his head down and driving up from his base with his hands. 

I could see his big [BLEEP] kicking out better than expected on running plays and getting a linebacker down to lead the way.
