But I get it. Defenses can't win you games like it used to but a crappy defense can certainly lose games for you. A good defense can also keep you in games as we saw from time to time last year. If the thinking is, hey not everything can be fixed in one year so let's build a league leading defense first and work on the offense in year two, I would understand that.

C'mon man, the 2017 team played a slate of backup QBs that year. It was a once in a million circumstance built on free agency spending not a blueprint for long term success.
