Trouble in Mozambique

I saw this interesting article today, https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-61464431
I hadn't heard anything about a civil war in Mozambique but apparently it's been going on for a few years, and the US has been trying to get permission to send troops. Apparently we've sent a "small training mission" already, we want to send in more, but they won't give us permission? I had no idea. Apparently our media doesn't think this is very interesting even though there are US interests at play here. The BBC article isn't shy about pointing out how neither Mozambique's government or the rebels really want us there, and how even the suggestion that we might come has been helpful for the rebels.
